International success Pramkicker is an unflinching look at what it means to be a modern woman.

HEAR ME HOWL

Presented by Lydia Rynne

30 Jan — 03 Feb, various times

Location: Cavern - The Vaults, Leake Street

Jess is turning 30 when she presses pause on the conventional life she's been living and joins a post-punk band. Sure, some might argue that punk is dead, others could say she should really stick to the day job, but the resounding concern is: shouldn’t she be settling down by now? From behind her drum kit, warming up for her very first gig, Jess lurches defiantly into an unknown future.

From writer Lydia Rynne, director Kay Michael and musical consultant Fay Milton, drummer of Mercury Award Nominated band Savages, comes HEAR ME HOWL, a bitingly honest portrayal of one woman’s personal revolution.

“What gives the story its edge is the incorporation of music - a drum kit to be precise.” -  Sepy Baghaei at London Pub Theatres

“Alice Pitt-Carter gives a ferocious performance in Lydia Rynne's exhilarating and refreshing monologue on conflicted attitudes to motherhood" - The Stage

Of Course I’m Hot... I’m 50! is a factual, no-frills look at the *whispers* menopause. One woman’s journey through the heart palpitations, sweat and desert of vaginal dryness is every woman’s journey. Scriptwriter and co-director, Caron, felt compelled to share her experience of the menopause after recognising that the taboo nature of the topic had left her unprepared. As she explains in the play, “Somebody must have something to say. Some advice. They always have before”. Warm, truthful and funny, this show tries to clear the brain fog of everyone – whoever you are.
